9th Class Physics Notes Gujranwala Board – Paper Pattern, Past Papers and Full Book Notes

9th Class Physics Notes Gujranwala Board: Your Complete Companion. This post is the Gujranwala Board companion to our full-book 9th class Physics notes. If you are a 9th class student appearing under the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Gujranwala, this page tells you how your Physics paper is set, how to use past papers, and how to plan your preparation chapter by chapter.

Start with the complete notes here: Download the complete Physics notes PDF

The PDF covers the full book: a summary, definitions, short and long question answers, and MCQs for every chapter. Everything below is about how to use those notes for the Gujranwala Board exam specifically. In short, this page gathers everything around 9th class physics notes Gujranwala board exams into one place: the pattern, the past-paper method, and the full-book notes.

Important note about the pairing scheme: There is no separate pairing scheme issued only for Gujranwala. The pairing scheme for 9th class Physics is issued by the Punjab Education, Curriculum, Training and Assessment Authority (PECTAA) and applies to all nine Punjab boards, including BISE Gujranwala. So the paper structure below is the structure Gujranwala Board students follow.

The structure described here is the PECTAA pairing scheme for the Annual Examination 2026, as reproduced by multiple education websites. BISE Gujranwala issues its own date sheets and exam notifications on its official website (bisegrw.edu.pk), and the board’s notification for your exam year is the final word. If anything in the scheme changes for a new session, the official notification overrides this page. No 2027 pairing figures are printed here, because no officially confirmed 2027 scheme was available at the time of writing.

BISE Gujranwala 9th Class Physics Paper Pattern: The Physics paper is a 60-mark paper, with 2 hours allowed: 15 minutes for the objective part and 1 hour 45 minutes for the subjective part.

Part I – Objective: 12 MCQs, 12 marks. All 12 multiple-choice questions come from the entire content of the textbook, not only from the exercise questions. This is why no chapter should be skipped completely, even a chapter you find easy.

Part II – Subjective, short questions: 15 questions, 30 marks. There are three short-question sections, and you attempt any 5 questions out of 8 in each: Question 2: Chapters 1, 2 and 3; Question 3: Chapters 4, 5 and 6; Question 4: Chapters 7, 8 and 9. Each short question carries 2 marks. Short questions are asked from the textbook exercises, so the exercise questions in the notes deserve special attention.

Part III – Subjective, detailed questions: attempt any 2 out of 3, 18 marks. Each detailed question carries 9 marks, split into part (a) of 4 marks and part (b) of 5 marks. The two parts of a question come from different chapters within the same group: Question 5: Chapters 1, 2 and 3; Question 6: Chapters 4, 5 and 6; Question 7: Chapters 7, 8 and 9. Total: 12 + 30 + 18 = 60 marks.

The 9 Chapters, Grouped the Way the Paper Groups Them: The current Punjab textbook has 9 chapters. Studying them in the paper’s three groups helps, because long questions pair chapters from within the same group: Group A: 1. Physical Quantities and Measurements, 2. Kinematics, 3. Dynamics; Group B: 4. Turning Effects of Force, 5. Work, Energy and Power, 6. Mechanical Properties of Matter; Group C: 7. Thermal Properties of Matter, 8. Magnetism, 9. Nature of Science. A useful habit is to revise one group at a time and then practise writing one long question from that group, with both parts, under time.

How to Use BISE Gujranwala Past Papers: Past papers are the most Gujranwala-specific preparation tool you have, because they show how the board actually asks questions under this scheme. Use them like this:

  1. Solve the previous years’ BISE Gujranwala 9th class Physics papers chapter by chapter first, then as full papers under the 2-hour limit.
  2. For short questions, compare each paper question with the exercise questions in the notes. You will see that most short questions come straight from the exercises, which tells you where to spend your revision time.
  3. For MCQs, practise from the whole chapter, including definitions, units and small facts that never appear as short questions. MCQs are the section where students lose easy marks by only preparing exercise questions.
  4. For long questions, practise numericals from Kinematics, Dynamics, Turning Effects of Force, and Work, Energy and Power, and practise theory answers from Physical Quantities and Measurements, Mechanical Properties of Matter, Thermal Properties of Matter, and Magnetism. Always write both parts of a long question in practice, since the two parts come from different chapters.
  5. After each past paper, mark yourself strictly: 12 for MCQs, 30 for short questions, 18 for long questions. If one group is consistently weak, revise that whole group from the notes before moving on.

Preparation Tips for Gujranwala Board Students: Do not leave any chapter unread. Even if a chapter seems unlikely for long questions, it still contributes MCQs, and MCQs are 12 marks. Definitions and units from Chapter 1 (Physical Quantities and Measurements) come up again and again, in MCQs as well as short questions. Keep a one-page list of base quantities, derived quantities, units and prefixes. Learn the SI units and symbols properly. A correct numerical with a missing or wrong unit loses marks. In the paper, use the 15 objective minutes only for the MCQs, and keep the last 10 to 15 minutes of the subjective time for checking units, calculations and question numbers. Check your date sheet and roll number slip only through the board’s official website (bisegrw.edu.pk) and your school. Do not trust dates or slip details forwarded on social media.

Final Note: For students preparing with 9th class physics notes Gujranwala board papers in mind, the method is simple: prepare from the full-book notes, practise with BISE Gujranwala past papers, and revise group by group. Before your exam, check the pairing scheme against official BISE Gujranwala announcements for your session, because the board’s own notification is final.
