FBISE SSC total marks and syllabus 2025

 This post explains the total marks of class IX and X SSC part 1 and part 2 for federal board Pakistan. FBISE has given clear instructions about choosing the subjects at the SSC level. 

FBISE SSC syllabus and total marks 2025

Here is the details of the marks and the syllabus of the federal board for class 9th and 10th. This post is valid till 2025.

Remember that the FBISE has changed the scheme of studies for the year 2025 for SSC I. It will also be followed in 2026 for SSC II. The 9th class total marks and syllabus are discussed here. 10th class total marks and syllabus are also discussed.

FBISE SSC Part 1 Syllabus

Federal Board has set a clear syllabus for class IX SSC for arts and science students.

Compulsory subjects

These are the subjects that every student has to study, whether he is doing matric with arts or science or technical subjects. The subjects are:

1. Urdu (compulsory)
2. English ( Compulsory)
3. Islamic Education compulsory (for Muslims) OR Ethics (For non-Muslims)

4. Translation of Holy Quran

5. Mathematics

Elective Subjects

Every student has to choose at least 3 elective subjects. There are three groups of elective subjects and the student has to choose one group of the following.

Group 1 - Subjects for Science group

• Physics
• Chemistry 
• Biology OR Computer Science and Entrepreneurship

Group 2 - Subjects for Arts / Humanities/Social Science group

• General Science
• Two of the following subjects: ( Home economics, food and nutrition, English literature, Islamic studies, Economics, education, civics, geography, Arabic, clothing & textile, health and physical education, Art and model drawing, Islamic history, commercial geography, Agriculture, Computer Science and Entrepreneurship)

Group 3 - Subjects for Matric-Tech Group

Matric-Tech is a vast group with more options. Students will select their TRADE under this Group. Every Trade (section) has its related subjects. You can see the details Trades and subjects of the Matric-Tech group here. 

So, there are a total of 9 subjects at the SSC I.

FBISE SSC Part 2 Syllabus

Compulsory subjects

The compulsory subjects for SSC II are nearly the same as those for SSC I. Only Pakistan Studies is included for Islamic Education. Hence, the compulsory subjects for SSC I are as follows:

1. Urdu (compulsory)
2. English ( Compulsory)
3. Pakistan Studies

4. Translation of Holy Quran

5. Mathematics

Elective Subjects

The students will study the same elective subjects as studied in SSC I. 

Total marks of SSC in the FBISE

Here is the division of marks for both 9th and 10th classes according to the Federal Board

Total marks for Class 9 (SSC 1)

In the 9th class, the students study 8 subjects. The subject-wise division of marks is given below:

Compulsory subjects

• English = 75 marks
• Urdu = 75 marks
• Translation of Holy Quran = 50 marks
• Islamic Education / ethics = 100 marks
• Mathematics = 75 marks

Elective subjects (according to a group)

• Subject 1 = 75 marks
• Subject 2 = 75 marks
• Subject 3 = 75 marks

Total marks for SSC part 1 = 600

Now let me tell you the total marks for class 10th.

Total marks for Class 10 (SSC 2)

The total marks for the 10th class are the same as in the 9th class. The same marks apply to all compulsory and optional subjects in class 10th. So:

Total marks for SSC part 2 = 600
