What Is Inside the PDF
The PDF has 31 colourful A4 pages covering all 4 Surahs of the 11th class Tarjuma-tul-Quran book. Every Surah has the same complete structure: a revision-notes summary with introduction, main themes, key teachings and translation guidance, 10 MCQs with an answer key, 5 solved short questions and 2 solved long questions. In total the PDF contains 40 MCQs, 20 solved short questions and 8 solved long questions, plus an introduction on the Adab of the Holy Quran and a revision checklist at the end. All questions are original practice questions written for these notes.
The notes are written in Urdu script (Nastaliq) throughout. No Arabic script, no verse text and no verse numbers are reproduced anywhere in the notes — the focus is on themes, translation guidance and understanding.
The 4 Surahs are:
Surah 1 – Surah Al-Baqarah (The Cow): a Madani Surah and the longest Surah of the Holy Quran. Its themes include guidance for the believers, faith and worship, the laws of daily life, and the lessons from the stories of past nations.
Surah 2 – Surah Aal-e-Imran (The Family of Imran): a Madani Surah. Its themes include the unity of the believers, patience and trust in Allah, and the lessons of steadfastness after the Battle of Uhud.
Surah 3 – Surah Al-Anfal (The Spoils of War): a Madani Surah. Its themes include the lessons of the Battle of Badr, discipline and unity among the believers, and the guidance on the distribution of spoils.
Surah 4 – Surah At-Tawbah (Repentance, also called Surah Al-Bara’ah): a Madani Surah. Its themes include sincerity and repentance, the covenant with Allah, and the difference between true faith and hypocrisy.
How to Use These Notes
Use the notes in the same order every time. First read the revision-notes summary of one Surah and note its main themes and key teachings. Then attempt that Surah’s 10 MCQs without looking at the key, and check your answers against the answer key at the end of the Surah. Write down every MCQ you got wrong and revise those points the same day.
Next, read the 5 solved short questions and write their answers in your own words, point-wise, as you would in the exam. Then study the 2 solved long questions and note their structure: introduction, explanation with examples, and conclusion. At the end of the book, use the revision checklist to test yourself on every Surah before the exam. Do not skip a Surah because it looks easy — short questions can come from any Surah.
Paper Pattern: What Is Verified
FBISE notification No. 1-10/FBISE/RES/415 dated 05 May 2025 confirms that the Tarjuma-tul-Quran paper carries 50 marks at HSSC-I level under the National Curriculum 2022-23 and the Inclusive Scheme of Studies 2024. No mark split beyond the 50-mark total is stated here, so check the current paper pattern on the official FBISE website fbise.edu.pk before the exam. Paper patterns can change, and the official announcement is always final.
One honest note: the Surah list in these notes follows the standard Class 11 Tarjuma-tul-Quran book and the new PECTAA syllabus, which list the same four Surahs in the same order. It is not officially confirmed from FBISE itself, so check the Surah list against your own issued book. All questions in the PDF are original practice questions, not official board paper questions.
