A Letter to Friend on his Failure in Exams

46-Gulshan Ravi,
Lahore.
September 15, 2018

Dear Kashif,
I heard about your failure in the final exams of 2nd year. It is really sad news for me. I was not expecting that type of result of yours. I am sorry to hear that. You had been a hardworking student. The result report is not proof of what actually you are.

The bad result does not mean that you cannot progress in life. The real failure is to quit trying. Please do not take it to heart. Instead, explore and work on your weak points. Improve your grey areas and set a new goal in life. Work even harder and show the world that you are not a failure. Life has given you a new chance to change the opinion of your friends and relatives about you. Stand up and set to work today. Do not waste your time and keep up with high spirits.

Let me tell you that exams are just formalities. These are not valid tools to test our talent. You are good at sports and games. You are an excellent painter. I think this is a big reason for the failure that you gave to much time to games just before the exams. I know you had a tournament against Walker Club. So, don't let this trifling thing bring down your morale. I am here to help you anytime you need it. I hope you will not take this result as not a big failure.

Convey my regards to your parents. Do join the birthday party of Ahmad on Tuesday. Raza and Jamil are also coming. See you there.

Yours sincerely,
Saif Ullah Zahid
