Earth provides enough to satisfy every man's need, but not every man's greed. (Edmund S. Muskie)

Smog is a type of air pollution made up of many pollutants. It is a brown or white haze usually spread in urban areas. The smog in plain fields is sometimes caused by burning crops.

It is harmful to both environment and the human and animal health. It decreases air quality in the environment. In countries like Pakistan, some usual practices contribute to the production of smog. It is formed when the smoke released from vehicles, industries, and fire reacts with sunlight.

Take care of the earth and she will take care of you.

Smog causes many health issues like stroke, heart problems, respiratory problems, and eye infections. In addition, it causes asthma and nausea. Prolonged exposure to smog can lead to more complicated health issues.

Apart from affecting human and animal health, smog is equally harmful to crops. It slows down the growth of the plants and fruits. So, it indirectly affects the availability of food to both animals and humans.

In short, smog can be hazardous to human, animal, and plant life. The early symptoms of smog are itching in the eyes and throat, cough, cold, and dyspnea.

The government of Pakistan has taken serious measures to combat smog in urban areas. The schools were closed for some days when the smog was dense. The safety precautions are displayed in all govt offices and public places. Now it is our responsibility to keep our environment safe and clean.
