1st year Urdu paper pattern 2026 is given here for all Punjab Boards. This is the latest paper pattern for Urdu for class 11. We all know that 1st year syllabus has been changed by the Punjab Boards. Now the new syllabus and new paper schemes have been introduced for the annual exams 2026.

1st year Urdu paper pattern 2026

The purpose of this paper pattern is to explain the various types of questions that come in exams. The sequence and marks of various questions have been explained. You can see 1st year Urdu model paper 2026 to get an idea of the paper layout.

The paper scheme is also given along. So, after reading this post, you will have a clear understanding of what the Urdu paper will look like and what will be included in it.

Objective Paper

The objective paper will be given separately before the subjective paper ti the students.

Here is the layout and scheme of the objective paper

Total MCQs = 20

Total marks 1x20=20

The breakdown of all 20 MCQs is given below:

Text of the Book and Exercises: 5 MCQs

Urdu Muhawarat and Haroof e Jar: 5 MCQs

Sheri w Adbi Istlahat: 10 marks

Objective Part

There are 7 Questions in Objective part.

Question No. 2 (a) Interpretation of the verses of a poem: 2 verses or stanzas will be given, one of them will have to be interpreted. The title of the poem and the name of the poet will also have to be written. Interpretation 8 Title of the poem by Marx and the name of the poet 1, 1, Marx. Total Marks: 10

Question No. 2 (b): In this question, three verses from two ghazals will be given. 

The interpretation of the three verses of any one of the two ghazals will have to be done separately for each verse. 3 marks for each verse and 1 mark for the name of the poet. Total marks: 10

Question No. 3: Two paragraphs will be given from the lessons of the textbook. Students will interpret one of the paragraphs with reference to the context. 10 marks for interpretation, 3 marks for context, 1 mark for the title of the lesson and 1 mark for the name of the author. Total marks: 15

Question 4: Write a summary and the name of the author of one of the two lessons. Marks: 10

Question 5: Write a summary or main idea of ​​one of the two poems. Marks: 5

Question 6: Write a dialogue or an incident on the given topic. Marks: 10

Question 7: Make a request or receipt to the principal on a topic: Marks: 10

Question 8: Summarize the given text. And suggest a suitable title. 8 marks for summary, 2 marks for title. Total marks: 10

So the total marks of 1st year Urdu are 100. According to the new paper pattern, there are 8 total questions in class 11 Urdu paper.
